Getting wise with ASB money

On Friday a lady name Tessa came to our class and taught us how to get wise with money.

First we did a drum roll on the floor and close our eyes and count to ten. Then we opened our eyes and she was wearing a P.T head band. She told us to stand up and do five star jumps.

After that we sat down and said time travel five times while moving our hands. While saying it we laughed so hard that our tummy's tickled.

Then we had to learn how money is used. Next she told us that when I'm 13 years old I can have a eftpos card and when I'm 18 I can have a credit card.

Later on we had to stand up and pretend to walk to the shop. Tessa told us that we had to use the card. It was declined because it has no money in it.

After that we asked questions about,why money is important, and when did she start her job?

Finally we said thank you. I had a lot of fun. 

Subtraction from ten

sharing my thinking about Snail Array

                                            Today I was given a Snail Array and I used move note to video myself sharing my thinking about Snail Array.

I have 20 snails on my paper sheet. I know it is 20 because, 5+5=10 and another 5+5=10 ,so 10+10=20.


             

My grouping within ten

This is my grouping within ten. Today I have been learning to use the shape tool and paint bucket to show my grouping within ten.My grouping within ten was 3 + 7= 10. I used the smiley face shape tool to do this.

My last day of badminton

Last Friday I played badminton at the hall.

First we had warm ups,and  played, Stuck in the mud. And also we ran from one end to the other end of the hall.I was was one of the taggers and Vaughan too.

Secondly we practice hitting the shuttle cock. Coach Ben told us if we are getting used to it we can hit it side by side.

Later on I helped coach Ben to get the nets out.Then we had to go in 6 groups, but I had 5 people in my team. I started hitting the shuttle. 

I got 5 points in a row, but when I played against Heneliena I swapped with Hannah. Hannah lost and played against Fulila. 

After that I had more 5 points and I was the only one who had the most scores.Some people in my team hit the shuttle cock on the out line.

Finally we thanked coach Ben for teaching us how to play badminton, and went to class to eat our lunch. 

SPS My grouping within tens 2

This is my second grouping within tens.I used two purple blocks and 8 light blue blocks to make ten. I used a combination of numbers and words to create my sentence.

This is my grouping within ten. Today I used blocks to make my grouping within ten I used 3 yellow blocks  and 7 red blocks. I have also used combination of words and numbers to make my grouping within tens.

Animals In trouble-My crazy cat

My black and grey cat Whiskers, was stuck on a tree last Friday at my house.

I was  afraid because she might get electric shock by the power lines, so my my dad rang the fire fighters to get my cat down.

When they arrived they open the ladder and one man climbed the ladder and got my cat, but it's tail got tangled with branches and leaves of the tree. The man  untangled its tail then she was free.

Finally they carried my cat down and I thank them. Later I gave my cat it's dinner.

Making patterns 3

I used my Google drawing to create my pattern of 3 shapes and used colors witch is red,light blue and yellow. I decorated it with shapes like triangle,square and pentagon. I used green as my back ground to make my shapes colorful. I have made my shapes in a straight line and clear.
